After almost 30 years in the RAF Bob is a born again pedaller, following a few years dabbling in running, duathlons and one small triathlon. The British cycling successes of 2012 inspired him to get bike-borne once again, despite being in his mid 50s.
Having taken part in a few sportives now, Bob's favourite has got to be Coast 2 Coast in a Day. He's even tempted to try it again, although he'll probably still have to walk up Hardknott.

2021-11-29 12:29:57 - As the weekend temperatures appeared to have dropped somewhat, it was clearly time to start getting the winter kit out to stay on the warmer side of cool when out on the...
2021-10-15 11:17:53 - Taking place on 10 October, the Cambridgeshire Rumble is somewhat out of place this year. It is normally organised as a season starter to get the legs spinning after...

2019-09-18 10:55:37 - Hands up all those that have never suffered the dubious delight, not, of a puncture whilst out on a club run or, heaven forbid, a sportive? Not many I bet. How many of...
2019-04-30 15:17:50 - I'm going to suggest that it's safe to say that winter, and winter indoor training, is behind us and the joys of cycling in our shorts and jerseys, as opposed to being...
2018-10-26 11:52:34 - All too soon it's that time of year again when the nights are drawing in and we may, I'm sure, start getting some inhospitable weather at weekends so one has to decide...
