The Shropshire Devil is an ideal start to the sportive season. The event will be based from Minsterley and both long and short routes will showcase the best of the Shropshire Hills and Welsh Borders. The area is superb for cycling, with quiet roads and stunning views. Be warned, though, there are some hills!

Latest Weather Update from Drover Cycles
Severe winter weather has in recent days affected large parts of the UK, including Shropshire and Powys. At present large parts of both routes are snowbound, with drifts completely blocking some roads. We have been monitoring the situation and the forecasts closely. Clearly we need to make sure that the route is safe in order for the sportive to go ahead. We are hopeful that temperatures will rise sufficiently, the snow and ice will melt and the event can go ahead as planned! However, our contingency plan is to postpone the sportive by a fortnight to Sunday 25th March. If you have entered already, you should have received an email via British Cycling with this information. We will make a decision by the end of Monday 5th March based on the weather forecast and conditions prevailing at the time. Thanks for your understanding. Stay safe out on the roads & we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a rapid thaw!
