UK Cycling Events, one of the UK's best-known sportive organisers, have launched their 2024 sportive calendar.
There are 11 sportives in the series which runs from early March until late October 2024.
While next year may seem a distant prospect, there's a bonus for getting your entries in early: UKCE are offering a discounted rate of £30 for any sportive if you enter by 5 November.
The UK Cycling Events sportive season kicks off with the Cambridgeshire Classic on 2 March 2024. A further ten rides will follow throughout the year concluding with the Kent Classic on 10 October.
Among them are many old favourites, including two rides in the New Forest in April and September. But the programme is notably lighter than in previous years, with several events axed including the long-running Magnificat and UKCE's only Scottish event, the Ochil Hills Tour.
The gravel series that was launched in 2021 has not returned, leaving gravel cyclists to look elsewhere for their off-road thrills.
Here's the full schedule for 2024:
- 2nd March - Cambridgeshire Classic
- 16th March - Wiltshire Classic
- 13th April - New Forest Classic
- 28th April - Suffolk Spring Classic
- 11th May - Surrey Hills Classic

The calendar may be pared back, but entrants can look forward to the same high-quality ride experience at each event.
"As always, all of our events come with free parking, mechanical and medical support, chip timing, online results, downloadable certificate, feed stops, fully signed routes to keep you on track, free photography, a finishers medal, some finish line goodies from our partners and the option to buy food and drink at our event village," say UKCE.
