Rapha have revealed the new kit to be worn by the EF Education-Nippo team at this year's Giro d'Italia which starts this weekend.

Called "Euphoria", the kit features bold colour patterns designed to distinguish Team EF riders from the race leader's maglia rosa.

Last year saw Rapha join forces with skate brand Palace to create an unforgettable duck-themed outfit for the postponed Giro.

There's no Palace this year - and no ducks - but the 2021 kit is still among the more eye-catching designs in the peloton. The jersey is inspired by national flags of the world on a black background, "in a celebration of people from different backgrounds coming together in pursuit of a common goal".

"Throughout the month of May, there's only one colour that dominates the professional peloton's collective consciousness," explain Rapha.

"Coloured pink as a nod to the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper which founded the race in 1909, the Giro's maglia rosa is one of cycling's greatest prizes. And no other team's trade colours can clash with the iconic leader's jersey.

"All of this means that EF Education-NIPPO's regular racewear is off limits in Italy. But no pink, is no problem for this team.

"For the next three weeks, all eight riders will be outfitted in the Euphoria collection: a kaleidoscopic creation, designed to celebrate people from different backgrounds and nations coming together in pursuit of a common goal. From Italy to the world, look out for a splash of colour at the first Grand Tour of 2021."

Last year's Palace collection sold out almost instantly, with kit swapping hands for hugely inflated prices on auction sites.

If you'd like to get your hands on the Euphoria range, the collection will be available to buy from the end of May on rapha.cc.
