Entries for Velothon Berlin - the German sister event to the hugely popular Velothon Wales sportive - are now open. The 2017 edition of Velothon Berlin takes place on 18 June and will celebrate the event's 10th birthday.

With a spectacular city setting and a course known as one of the fastest around, Velothon Berlin is a must for any cycling enthusiast looking to broaden their sportive horizons.

The event starts and finishes at the historic Brandenburg Gate and the course features a whistlestop tour of some of the German capital's top landmarks, including Potzdamer Platz, the Memorial Church, the Charlottenburg Palace, and the Victory Column. For 2017 riders can test themselves on a new 180km route, in addition to the well loved 60km and 120km courses.

Renowned for its incredibly fast and flat courses, Velothon Berlin promises participants an unforgettable cycling weekend, as well as the perfect race to go for personal bests.

With huge advance interest in the event, the organisers are encouraging cyclists to take advantage of earlybird rates and register as soon as possible. Some 10,000 cyclists are expected to take part - don't miss your chance to be a Berliner for a day!
