For the sixth consecutive year The Rotary Club of Lancaster and a few cycling friends are organising three sportive cycling events on the same day. As usual they all start and finish at the Halton Army Training camp near Lancaster.

Our cycling day was founded to support charities and the net proceeds of all monies raised are for the benefit of UK and other charities and projects supported by Rotary. In four years our cyclists have raised over £27,000 and this year we hope to do even better.

This year we are mainly supporting Unique Kidz but if you know of any worthy charities who would like to raise money for themselves, either through individual entries or to enter as a team, we would make them all very welcome. We just want to know who they are supporting and how much money they raise through this event.

Wrynose or Bust

Wrynose or Bust is our longest route and is a true sportive challenge of 117 miles through North Lancashire and South Cumbria with Wrynose Pass in the middle. Wrynose Pass is considered to be one of the top 10 toughest cycling climbs in Britain.

The Bay Dash

The Bay Dash is a shortened 72 mile version following much of the Wrynose route, however it detours after 35 miles. But this is still a serious test for most cyclists.

The Silverdale Sling

The Silverdale Sling is our third route and is a very interesting and pretty 37 mile route following the Morecambe Bay coastline through our local Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
