Launched in 2014 with four routes of different lengths for all abilities taking in North Northumberland and crossing the border into Scotland.

The Borderlands, where the unique met the unusual – a unique challenge and an unusual venue. It was also the first for a British Cycling backed junior specific sportive.

The routes all start and finish at the spacious Harrison & Hetherington Livestock Mart and wend their way through North Northumberland and Scottish Borders, skirting the Northumberland National Park and the high Cheviots.  The landscape is in the main hilly with several steep ascents (and descents), but on the Milfield Plain (the flattish flood plain of the River Till) and alongside the River Tweed, the topography is fairly level.
