Hotchillee are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new event on the UK gravel calendar, taking place during the summer solstice this June.

Starting at dawn from the historic hilltop fort of Old Sarum, the epic 215 km route will pass the iconic landmark of Stonehenge as participants embark on this monumental adventure through Druid Britain. The challenge … to race the solstice sun and finish before night falls.

The Stone Circle has already attracted significant pre-interest and, with the terrain promising to be similar to iconic US style gravel races, and an 135 km option available, it’s certain to fill up fast.

Starting and finishing on the edge of Salisbury, it’s accessible to riders throughout the UK with direct rail links from London and other major cities. With easy access to both London Heathrow and Gatwick, there should also be a significant international contingent.

This new event is in the perfect location where we will see the old meeting the new. Summer solstice is when our spirits are alive, refreshed, renewed and energised, so there is no excuse not to take advantage of one of the longest days of the year to ride your bike. Event organisers Hotchillee will be making some more announcements in the coming weeks with sponsors and partners excited about creating a festival atmosphere in what will be a day to remember.
