Ride Rutland

An exciting new Sportive for 2023!

Choose from two great routes in one of the UK’s most wonderful cycling backdrops. We get excited about the ruggedness of Peak or the challenging beauty of Yorkshire but The County of Rutland has some truly wonderful riding! Every mile enjoyable. This new event is a real treat!

Rutland offers some great riding! Very easily accessible from the A1 or M1, we use the awesome Rutland Showground (Oakham) as our event site. Loads of space, straight out onto some lovely roads and central to riding in this great area. This 1 day Sportive is the little brother of our 2 Days in Rutland | A Tour Sportive which is taking place on the Saturday and Sunday. We wanted to open up the great event facilities and route to more riders so have added this 1 day option.

80km or 162km routes, both in stunning scenery on quiet roads. Some days you just get a buzz riding, often in a new part of The World. You just ride along all day thinking “This is wonderful”. When we’ve ridden these routes to check them out we have buzzed the entire day and wanted to get back for more ASAP!

Neither route is designed to be a massive challenge. More a great day out, accessible and an appropriate challenge. Don’t miss this brilliant new event!
