Rapha London to Manchester Challenge

Join Rapha on Sunday 25 June 2023 for one of the most challenging and memorable bike rides in the UK.

Back for its ninth edition, riders will take on a 220-mile ride in a single day, starting at dawn in Manchester, riding down the spine of the country on an awe-inspiring journey through the Peak District, Midlands, and the Chilterns before finishing as the sun sets in the great capital of London.

Simon Mottram, founder of Rapha, will be leading the way as usual, with Ambitious about Autism and Rapha there to help with fundraising and training tips to motivate you all the way to the finish line. Over the years the M2L rides have raised more than £1.3 million for Ambitious about Autism and the ride is such an amazing experience that many riders come back year after year.

Riders will set out from the Rapha clubhouse in Manchester at dawn, ascending through the Pennines and then cycling through the English countryside all day in the company of friends, and all for a really important cause.

The ride can be completed by any cyclist with good fitness who is prepared to put the training in. You will need to be able to ride for a whole day and take care of punctures and minor mechanical issues yourself, but there will be plenty of feed stations en route and the camaraderie of dozens of other riders to keep you going.

Riders will assemble on Saturday evening for a pre-event drink and pasta party at the Rapha clubhouse. Your overnight bag will be transported for you from Manchester to London. Riders will need to be self-sufficient, carrying their own spares, lights (as a precaution) and on-bike food. The route mapping will all be digital (no on-road signs), so riders will need a Garmin or Wahoo unit and a spare power pack.

Entry costs £120 with a £1000 fundraising target. The entry fee includes:
