New for the 2018 season Sportive HQ brings you the King Edward 100, promising an HQ in a great, easy access location – Newark Show ground – and plenty of new routes around the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire lanes. The ‘King Edward 100’ brings all of the Sportive HQ style of doings things – a big event at small event prices with an entry fee of £22.50. We do allow Time Trial bikes, aero bars etc, in fact they do allow all bikes types as agreed by their insurer.

At registration Sportive HQ give you a large flapjack from ‘Dorset Flapjacks’ and a pack of Haribo. Once you get to the first feed station, there’s a packed lunch, a selection of teas or coffee and plenty of SIS electrolyte. If you’re on the 100 mile route, the second feed stations has teas and coffee, cake, fruit, more Haribo and SIS, so you should be able to stay the distance!

The start HQ has plenty of car parking space, and will feature some good local cycling stands for you to browse over as well as refreshments by the Coffee Stop.

New for 2018 is the ‘short’ route of 25 miles, with an entry fee of £15.00. This route doesn’t have a feed stop on the route but the price includes hot food and cuppa on return.

There will be free photos to download from Adie’s Photography, a top local cycling photographer.

SportiveHQ hope that after you’ve tried the King Edward 100, you’ll be hooked on their value for money sportives where a great day out on the bike is all that matters.
