After a three-year break, the Etape Mourne - a cycling sportive in the spectacular Mourne Mountains - is back again!

This year’s event will be held on Sunday 11th August.

"Over the last few years we have regularly been asked by cyclists who took part in the event in previous years, and who loved, it to host it again so here we are," say the organisers.

The event will once again be sponsored by Chain Reaction Cycles and all participants will receive a CRC gift, a finishers medal, "and a great spread of post event food and drink".

There will be 2 route options with Route 1 covering 65.5 kilometres with 1190metres of climbing and Route 2 will cover 79.5 kilometres with 1364 metres of climbing.

The event does not feature closed roads.

Sign On will be open from 7.30am on the morning of the event and Roll out will be at 9:30am.

Route 1 can be viewed here https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/2487886009 and Route 2 here https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/2452930249.

Both routes will provide stunning views of the Mourne Mountains and will be a challenge to cyclists of all abilities so choose your route carefully.

Event HQ is at Annalong Community Centre with the roll out at 9.30am for both distances.

Both routes will be well marshalled and signed and there will be well stocked feed stations, together with medical and mechanical support.

Feed stations on Route 1 will be at 19k , 34k and 47k.

Feed stations on Route 2 will be at 19k , 45k and 61k.

There will be mechanical support available on route together with a Broom Wagon for those who require assistance getting back to the finish.
