The Braveheart Cycling Fund was established in 2003 by Brian Smith and Alan Miller and is now within the charitable framework of the Scottish Cycling Foundation. The Braveheart Ride is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute directly to the development of Scotland's future cycling champions. Proceeds raised from the event go to up and coming Scottish cycling talent.  The Braveheart Fund provides financial assistance to young up and coming cyclists enabling them to train and compete at their highest level within the sport.

The  main course takes in some of the attractive scenery on offer in East Ayrshire. Leaving Kilmarnock, the route travels via Galston, Newmilns, before the climb over Windyedge & down to Sorn. Another climb out of Sorn, towards Muirkirk, then turning left through Cronberry to Auchinleck & Catrine. Some further climbing on these quiet country roads, then takes us northwards back to Galston, where we retrace our outward route back to the start/finish on Grassyards Road in Kilmarnock.
