The Etape Loch Ness is Scotland’s largest closed road cycle sportive taking place on 28 April 2024 around the stunning shores of iconic Loch Ness.

Starting and finishing in the historic Highland capital of Inverness, riders can enjoy cycling a 360° route on fully closed roads alongside the loch taking in some of the country’s most stunning scenery.

There is a timed King of the Mountain stage with a 4.8-mile (7.72km) climb gaining 380m in height and reaching a gradient of 12% at times. 

Many participants and their friends and families choose to stay on and explore the Scottish Highlands, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Highlands is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and offers a range of activities from dolphin spotting boat trips to distillery visits, mountain biking to kayaking.
