The Etape du Dales is a stunning ride through some of the UK's most remote and scenic countryside. The long route of 110 miles covers many of the county's major climbs and the dales of Wharfedale, Littondale, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Arkengarthdale, Birkdale, Garsdale, Dentdale, Ribblesdale - AND there is not a single set of traffic lights on the whole route!

Revealed to the world in all its splendour in the 2012 Tour de France, the Etape du Dales covers some of the finest roads in the UK.

A warm Yorkshire welcome from the long standing supporters of the event Wharfedale Rugby Club. The club provides parking , changing rooms, showers, catering facilities and control room for RAYNET emergency communications.

The event is run by the The Rayner Foundation for the benefit of aspiring young riders to help further the sport at an international level and provide an alternative route to World Tour success.
