Norfolk is perfect cycling country – low traffic volumes, few main roads and a vast network of minor roads and lanes make for relaxing riding. Boudicca routes have been chosen to showcase some of the best of Norfolk’s scenery and quiet roads. Don’t be fooled by the lack of big hills, Norfolk’s rolling countryside and rural roads make these routes challenging but still accessible to the majority of riders.
If you take a look at the photos from 2014, you’ll see that we attract a wide range of riders, with varying levels of fitness but all with a huge amount of enthusiasm and enough energy to wave at the photographer!
Our aim is to give you the best sportive experience possible, based on the feedback from previous years we think we have got the balance about right, but we continue to think of ways to improve the event and stay at the top.
Although timing is included again this year, this is driven by rider safety rather than bragging rights! than in We would prefer it if Boudicca isn’t about tearing around the countryside trying to do a fast time, but rather that it’s about having a great day out with other cyclists – old friends and new friends – and enjoying the countryside.?Norfolk’s lanes and byways aren’t made for speed, so sit up, stop looking at your stem and look over the hedge instead!
