Entries are now open for the Rapha Manchester to London Challenge, a 220-mile ride in aid of charity.

This year sees the 9th edition of the ride take place on Sunday 25 June 2023. Riders start at dawn from Rapha's Manchester clubhouse, and cover 220 miles as they ride south to finish at the company's London headquarters in Archway.

The event is to raise funds for Ambitious About Autism. Riders are set a fundraising target of £1000, with proceeds going to support the charity's work with autistic children.

"Ambitious about Autism is a truly remarkable organisation," says Rapha founder Simon Mottram, who leads the ride each year.

"They have been a huge support to my wife and me and to my son Oscar over many years through Treehouse School and more recently Ambitious College. Their passion, expertise and, perhaps most of all, their sheer ambition makes a vital difference to all the families whose lives they touch and I'm very proud to be one of their ambassadors."

Entry to the challenge costs £120, which includes a Rapha event jersey, rider number, route map, rider GPS tracker and on-bike nutrition. Riders will have a chance to meet each other at a pre-event pasta party on Saturday evening, before setting off at 5:30am on the Sunday morning.

There'll be plenty of time to chat and get to know your fellow riders along the way, as the route passes through the Peak District, the countryside of the Midlands and the Chilterns before finishing in London as the sun sets.

Entries to the Manchester to London Challenge are open now, with 120 places available.
