Hammerhead has joined the SRAM portfolio of cycling brands the company announced today.
Launched in 2014, Hammerhead is best known for its Karoo and Karoo 2 bike computers. The company leads the chasing pack challenging Garmin and Wahoo's dominance in the cycling computer market.

"We are proud to announce that Hammerhead has joined the SRAM community of brands," says today's statement from Hammerhead.
"The acquisition allows Hammerhead to remain a stand-alone brand within the SRAM portfolio where we will continue to focus on innovation, product advancement, and our company vision."
Hammerhead joins well-known cycling brands including Zipp, Rockshox, Truvativ and Quarq in SRAM's portfolio.
"Hammerhead has always been focused on building the world's best cycling computer," said Hammerhead CEO and co-founder Pieter Morgan.
"Joining the SRAM portfolio allows us to innovate and expand even more rapidly, and ultimately deliver a better riding experience for cyclists."
The well reviewed Karoo 2 is a credible rival to premium units from any of its competitors. We have one in for test at the moment and have been impressed by its features, class-leading screen, robustness and ease of use.
It served us well in tough conditions on last year's three-day Rapha Pennine Rally. We'll have a full review soon.
