Evans Cycles, the leading UK high street bike chain, has launched a new range of cycling shoes under its Pinnacle brand.

The range includes road, MTB and lifestyle shoes offering "performance-focused design" at a relatively modest price tag of £50 a pair.

Radium Road Shoes

The Radium road shoe offers a "minimalist and sleek design", with adjustment courtesy of a single velcro strap and Boa-style dial.

Other features include a soft padded collar and non-slip heel to keep the shoe securely in place when users crank up the power.

A synthetic microfibre upper is designed to allow for plenty of breathability, while a nylon outsole ensures enough stiffness for those town-sign sprints.

The Radium weigh in at 306g apiece (Men's size 8) or 255g for the women's (size 5).

Maple Mountain Bike Shoes

Taking care of the gravel side of business are the new Maple shoes.

Evans describe them as MTB shoes, but with two-bolt SPD cleat fixings we reckon they'll be a snug fit for riders dipping a toe into the booming gravel scene.

"Professional looking and robust in design, trail hunters are treated to a secure and snug fit courtesy of three velcro fastenings," say Evans.

"Inside the Pinnacle Maple there's a soft padded collar and non-slip heel to keep feet securely in place while riding over bumpy terrain, while the heel loop offers a neat finishing touch."

A reinforced toe box helps protect your feet from rocky knocks on the trail, while raised tread will come in handy on those hike a bike sections.

There's even the option to add studs beneath the toes for when conditions get particularly filthy.

Cedar Lifestyle Shoes

The new range is completed by the Pinnacle Cedar shoe, "designed purposefully for everyday use both on and off the bike."

A padded collar and tongue enhance comfort, while the non-slip heel and heel loop add extra stability. There's even an abrasion panel wrapped around the toes to protect the shoes from all those inevitable scuffs and marks."

Evans say the Cedars are "equally suited to everyday life on foot and make for a practical pair of casual lace-ups".

The new Pinnacle shoe range are available in mens and womens versions, and are available to purchase now priced £50 online and in Evans Cycles stores.
