Le Col has unveiled its all new Le Col Pro Rain Jacket.

Developed with feedback from WorldTour pro cyclists, the jacket is an update to arguably the most important piece of kit for cyclists serious about riding in all seasons.

The new Pro Rain Jacket from Le Col uses a multi-layer construction.

Keeping out wind and rain while wicking sweat away from the body is a tricky feat to pull off, but Le Col reckon they've nailed it with this jacket.

Constructed from talian ITTTAI® performance fabrics and a three layer stretch fabric, Le Col say the inner layer of the Pro Rain Jacket "works to quickly move moisture away from the rider's body, moving through the outer layers to keep dry on the inside while the fully taped outer layer keeps water and wind firmly out."

This unique stretch construction ensures a fit that is not dissimilar from a favourite summer jersey, eliminating flapping and unnecessary bulk.

Le Col supply kit to Team Bahrain McLaren and their riders have spent hours training and racing in the Le Col Pro Rain Jacket. Feedback from the pros helped inform final fit adjustments, including a shortened front zip, neoprene cuffs and a high collar.

A longer back with a dropped tail ensures full coverage and protection for those who want to hold aggressive riding positions for longer.

Le Col founder Yanto Barker said, "We poured all our energy into creating a truly race worthy jacket to excel in the worst weather conditions.

"Fortunately, or unfortunately, the UK offers the perfect conditions for testing and refining all elements of this jacket, and our design team along with Team Bahrain McLaren riders spent countless hours in wet and windy testing conditions to ensure it lives up to the brief."

The Le Col Pro Rain Jacket comes in seven sizes from XS-XXXL and is available in two different colours; distinct orange or a low-key black.

While the black looks fabulously stealthy, for visibility on UK roads in wintry lighting our choice would be orange:
