Ready to get your gravel on? Entries open this morning for Bergamont Gritopia, a 60km race through the stunning back roads of the Tweed Valley. Taking place on 8th June, Gritopia is part of the Transcend Festival by Tweedlove, a full weekend of enduro style cycling and partying in near Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders.

"Bergamont Gritopia will take you on a journey to many new places in the Tweed Valley hinterland, leaving from the event HQ at Transcend Festival. It's perfect for all road less travelled fans, but all you really need is a spirit of adventure and a bike that can despatch the miles and vertical metres on a variety of surfaces," say the organisers.

"The course will be around 60km and you should expect some big climbs, spectacular situations and ancient trails. And, you'll finish in style back at Transcend Festival where you can enjoy a beer with the Bergamont guys, if you have the energy - demo their excellent Grandurance bike and just soak up the festival vibes!"

The route is fully waymarked and riders can expect mile after mile of traffic-free gritt and gravel trails. Cyclocross or gravel/adventure bikes are the perfect tools for the course, and afterwards riders can kick back and enjoy the party at Transcend Festival.

Camping pitches for tents and campervans are available on the festival site - why not head along and make a weekend of it.

Entry costs £45 which includes a weekend festival pass and parking. For more details and to enter, visit tweedlove.com/2019-event-info/gritopia-2019.
