Struggle Dales Reverse Sportive

Struggle Dales is one of the UK's most iconic sportives, set in the beautiful but challenging Yorkshire Dales landscape. The next Struggle Dales sportive will take place on Sunday 19 May 2024.

Entry opens at 12 noon on 3 November 2023. 

Struggle Dales is not a course to be taken lightly, but with prior training, grit and guts it's achievable for almost any ambitious road cyclists. The route boasts bucket-list cycling climbs woven into best Yorkshire Dales scenery, combined with the detailed organisation and support. 

The tough sportive route has claimed cult status nationwide, with riders travelling hundreds of miles year after year to tackle the gruelling challenge again and again. Cycling Weekly reviewed it as "one of the best sportive events in the UK."

Tackle the Dales in reverse!

For 2024, the organisers are flipping Struggle Dales on its head and taking on the route from a different direction. This includes taking on the epic ascents of Trapping Hill and Malham Cove from the harder side, plus many more iconic Yorkshire climbs.
