Since launching 10 years ago, Haute Route have established an unrivalled reputation for giving amateur cyclists a taste of life as a pro.

2019 is the 9th edition of the event that started it all, Haute Route Alps. This year's edition will run north-south from Megève to Nice over seven timed stages on some of cycling's most famous Alpine climbs.

The organisers say:

"A memorable blend of Alpine climbs, and iconic mountain towns. Seven days of timed and ranked stages starting in the heart of the Alps and finishing on the Mediterranean Sea for a total of 800km and 20,000M+ of climbing, including a time trial on the slopes of the Col d’Izoard."

Conquer the Alps in the company of expert guides and friendly fellow cyclists. Daily prizes are awarded to riders, and it's not only the fastest who are recognised - each day the “coup de coeur” award goes to a rider showing outstanding spirit on the road.

Entry to Haute Route Alps is priced €1,700, or you can take advantage of a reduced rate by riding two events in the Haute Route series for €2,995.

Single and shared accommodation packages are on offer, ranging from budget (€399) to premium (€2,499) with various options in between. As for getting there, the nearest airport to Megève is Geneva, and Haute Route will be running a pre-booked shuttle service priced €50.
