Gran Fondo Marco Pantani

On the 20th Anniversary of Marco Pantani’s Giro d’Italia and Tour de France double, the home town of Pantani, Cesenatico stands by to celebrate its most famous of sons. A weekend of celebration culminating in a gran fondo that will pay homage to one of the true greats of world cycling. 

The fishing town of Cesenatico will opens its arms to the world and offer a truly unforgettable weekend with plentiful memories off and on the bike. Collectively with Marco Pantani’s family and Alessandro Vanotti, they have created a programme of events that appeal to the international traveller. Nestled on the Adriatic sea, Cesenatico, with its port designed by Leonardo Da Vinci, has a rich history of great food and hospitality.

The gran fondo features a choice of three routes, designed with the help of Vanotti Cycling Camp. Meticulous planning has gone in to ensure the rides pass along roads that Marco used when training for his great achievement.
