Taking place on Sunday 23 May 2021 in Harrogate, Struggle Dales pits riders against a 108 mile (174km) course stacked with 9430ft (2870m) of climbing.

There are seven major climbs on the course, with notorious ascents including Hartwith Bank, Greenhow Hill and Park Rash. Don't expect gentle Alpine hairpins here - this is Yorkshire, savage gradients are guaranteed!

Luckily riders are fully supported in the challenge, with organisers Struggle Events laying on feed and water stations, mechanical and medical assistance, chip timing and a fully signed route.

A medal and free event photos reward finishers, along with the satisfaction of knowing you've tackled one of the hardest sportives around.

With event numbers capped due to Covid regulations, there are just 45 places left on this year's Struggle Dales.

Entry costs £49. To book your place, visit the event website at ridethestruggle.com.
