Looking for a late-season sportive to round off the year of Covid?

Entries are still open for two long-running UK sportives: the Tour of Worcester (Sunday 25th October) and the Essex Season Ender (15th November).

Both events are fully Covid-compliant, that means no entries on the day - so don't miss a chance to finish the season with a great ride.

This Sunday sees the 12th edition of the Tour of Worcester by Wheels in Wheels. Entries close midnight tomorrow (Friday 23 October) with a limited number of places still available.

Starting at Worcester Racecourse, the route follows much of the route of a former Tour of Britain stage, with some testing climbs along the way.

GPX files are available to download at the event website, while riders will be issued with top-tube stickers for their bikes on the day marking the major climbs.

Choose from the Gallop route (113km / 71 miles with 5339ft climbing) or the shorter Canter (86km / 53 miles with 3196ft climbing).

Entries start at £25 for the short route and £30 for the Gallop.

Essex Season Ender

November 15th sees Sportive UK's last event of the year, the Essex Season Ender.

Choose from 42 or 72 mile courses with fantastic feed stops and breath-taking views of the county and City of London - including exclusive access to the 2km closed-road track at Redbridge Cycling Centre.

The event is fully COVID-Compliant, and apart form toilet facilities takes place completely outside. Entry packs will be mailed out beforehand where possible to help with social distancing and participants will choose start waves.

With a fully signed route, well-stocked feed stations, mechanical support, chip timing, online results and event photographer, this ride has all the sportive trimmings.
