The Performance Cycles Mini-Sportive Series returns on Sunday 18th November for its ninth season. Often copied since its inception in 2010, the original Mini Sportive Series continues to give riders an event a month to keep you focused during the winter.

Each event is designed to be simple, and most importantly, cheap! These stripped back sportives don't include chip timing or feed stations, but do give riders the choice of two well sign-posted routes each month (of approximately 45 and 65 miles), a couple of freebies at sign on, neutral service support from Performance Cycles as well as hot drinks, cake and chef Dave's now famous bacon butties when you finish - all for just £9.50 per rider.

Located in the Cotswold Water Parks, the event venue also has ample off-road parking, changing rooms, showers and toilets.

There's one event a month from November through to March, giving participants the perfect base for their winter miles. Entry for the first event closes on Monday 12th November and each event is limited to just 150 places - so get your entry in now before the first event sells out.

Event organiser, Andy Kirk, told us: "Our mini-sportive series has been running for nine years now, and the simple format seems to work well. It all started off as a way to keep local club riders going through the winter months and has developed and grown from there - we even had to move venues a few years ago as we needed more space, and even now we can only accept 150 entries each month!"

The Performance Cycles Mini-Sportive series runs right through until March 2019 - with one event per month to keep the legs ticking over. This season's event dates are....

  • Sunday 18th November 2018
  • Sunday 16th December 2018
  • Sunday 13th January 2019
  • Sunday 10th February 2019
