Grinduro Wales 2022

A new kind of bike race...

Voted “Event of the Year” by the Design and Innovation Awards committee, Grinduro expanded to four events in 2019 and for 2022 will see six international editions including Grinduro Wales.

The unique format of Grinduro combines the best elements of a mountain bike enduro with a gravel grinder-style road race. Festivities include two days of excellent food, a handmade bike show, an art exhibit, live music and camping.

In short, Grinduro is just what it sounds like: Gravel Grinder + Mountain Bike-Style Enduro = one long loop of pavement and dirt, where finishing times aren’t based on overall loop time, but four timed segments (each roughly five-to-ten minutes).

But Grinduro is not just a bike race. It’s a celebration of cycling with as much emphasis on the party as the ride, with excellent food, an impressive display of art and incredible handmade bikes, live music, free camping and a festival atmosphere.

Formerly held on the Island of Arran in Scotland, the UK edition moved to Wales in 2022 and returns to Machynlleth in 2022.
