The White Rose Classic is the premier Yorkshire Dales sportive for road cyclists. Join us on Sunday 21, June, 2020. Enjoy an epic adventure with support from the all-volunteer, Ilkley Cycling Club-run Event.
The Tour de France came in 2014 covering some of the same roads as the White Rose Classic. Since then, the Tour de Yorkshire has become an annual event.
In 2018, Stage 2 of the TdY featured a decisive uphill finish in the White Rose Classic’s home town of Ilkley. And in September 2019, the UCI World Road Racing Championships visited some of the same roads.

There are three routes of different lengths. Choose the route that matches your experience and goals. Each one of them features the opportunity to enjoy magnificent Yorkshire Dales scenery.
Whichever route you take, when you ride the White Rose Classic, you earn the right to enjoy our Yorkshire-style hospitality. Each of our three feed stations features homemade sandwiches and other culinary treats. We do everything we can to make sure you have the energy you will need to keep you going all the way to the finish back in Ilkley.
The White Rose Classic routes tackle a total of seven named climbs – and innumerable bumps and hills along the way. But you get to choose how challenging a ride you make it – from a leisurely day out in the Yorkshire Dales to a challenging epic demanding all your strength and experience.
