"We have some great events coming up this summer, and now that the weather has brightened up again, our excitement level for the months ahead is climbing faster than Pogačar's Giro d'Italia 'queen stage' destruction of Passo di Foscagno," say the team at ICE.

All Iconic sportives include fully signed routes, well stocked feed stations and a medal at the finish to celebrate your ride.

"Our events are friendly, fully supported bike rides for all ages and abilities," says Victor at Iconic.

"Experience the excitement and camaraderie of cycling an event with hundreds of other like minded people.

"Enjoy well stocked feed stations with local produce on the medium and long routes, and be rewarded with a huge sense of achievement, a medal and a meal at the finish line."

Iconic Oxford

Bike Oxford launches Iconic Cycling's programme for 2024. Taking place on 23 June at Oxford University Rugby Club, riders can choose from four routes of 13, 25, 56 or 78 miles.

The fully signed course leads through Oxfordshire to the Chilterns, "through picturesque villages, past wildlife-filled hedgerows, gently fading Victorian walls, honey-coloured churches, fifteenth century pubs and thriving deer parks."

New for 2024 is the Introductory Ride: at just 13 miles and 451 feet of elevation, it's a great entry point to the world of sportive cycling or for riders simply looking for a leisurely spin.

The price is £20 for adults and £15 for juniors.

Next is The Canterbury Bike Ride on Sunday 21 July 2024.

Three routes are on offer, 20, 53 or 72 miles, through the Kent Downs AONB, east to Dover Castle and along the top of the White Cliffs for a peek across the Channel to France, before heading back to Eastry, Adisham and Bridge.

Bike Bath is back

Finally, after a year-long break, Bike Bath returns on Sunday 1 September with a new venue.

"After being based in the centre of Bath for ten years, we are moving to a new home in the heart of the Cotswolds," say ICE.

"The event will start and finish at Westonbirt School near Tetbury, a venue which is steeped in history and set within 210 acres of picturesque gardens. From here we are able to explore new routes around the stunning countryside and villages of the Cotswolds."

Choose from three routes (28, 55 and 78 miles), catering for everyone from the experienced club rider to the first-time sportive rider.
