One of the most popular sportives in the southeast, the Hell of the Ashdown is an early season event that has attracted a loyal following over the years.

Traditionally run by the venerable Catford Cycling Club, for 2022 the baton - or devil's trident - has been passed to Westerham Cycling Club.

There's also a new start/finish location at Westerham Brewery, where a complimentary pint of Helles Belles awaits finishers.

Entrants can look forward to a typically punchy challenge, with ten climbs on the 100km route.

There will be indoor feed stations at Ashdown Forest and Sevenoaks Weald, and street food trucks at event HQ for your post-ride recovery meal.

Chip timing, a broom wagon and mechanical support at feed stations help round off what should be a bracing test of your winter training.

Entries are priced £35 with a 10% entry discount for clubs and groups of 6 or more riders.
