As cyclists across the country put their feet up for the Christmas break, the Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival has launched a new website and set the date for next year's event: Sunday 15 July 2018.

The new Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival website features route maps and a fresh brand look and feel, reflecting developments to an event long established as a firm favourite in the UK sportive calendar. New organisers Human Race encourage pre-registrations for the 2018 sportive, with a surge for places expected when general entries open on 16 January as people set their cycling goals for 2018.

The Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival takes place at Penn House country estate, near Amersham, just one hour from London. The sportive takes in the stunning Chiltern Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boasts some challenging hills such as the infamous climbs of 'Whiteleaf' and 'Wardrobes', as well as route options from 52km up to 161km.

Catering to local club riders, keen amateurs and total beginners, this unique event makes some of the best UK cycling accessible to every level of experience.

But the sportive is only half of the fun! The Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival offers a full day vintage cycling festival and activity programme in the Velo Village, set in the picturesque grounds of the stately Penn House. With over 30 vintage stalls, as well as the Amersham Classic retro ride, and prizes for the 'Most Dapper Rider' in the Concors D'Elegance, this is a key date for the diary of anyone with a penchant for vintage cycling.

After a tough ride, cyclists can relax on the expansive lawns, and enjoy local food, craft beers and live coverage of Stage 9 of the Tour de France on the giant outdoor screen.

Nick Rusling, CEO of event organisers Human Race, says; "We are excited to be building on an event that is already so well received. This is the perfect summer's day out for cyclists and their families and arguably the best place outside of France to enjoy Le Tour. It's a must-do for your 2018 diary."

Action4Youth are back as the Official Charity for the event in 2018. The charity provides young people of all abilities and disabilities with transformational learning experiences that build resilience, self-confidence and personal esteem and to challenge themselves and work with others - learning what they can achieve rather than what they can't, better preparing them for life and work.

From 16 January 2018, Action4Youth are offering the chance to secure a place for just £1 when you commit to raise at least £200 for the charity.
