Three Counties MTB Marathon

A challenging mountain biking marathon event across the three counties of Derbyshire, Staffordshire & Cheshire with a choice of two routes: a 62km long route with 1700m ascent or a 43km shorter route with 1200m ascent. The biking terrain is predominantly high level/remote/moorland riding on a variety of tracks and trails in amongst quiet and scenic Peak District/Staffordshire Moorlands countryside – do not expect to see many other people out and about in this area in November! Riders will be required to self navigate the route using a full colour, bagged OS route map and route description provided at registration. A few “tricky” parts of the route will be arrowed to avoid any confusion – overall the ability to navigate using an OS map is important. The use of GPS devices is allowed. GPX files of the route will be made available to all entrants the week of the event.
