Children's charity Honeypot have opened entries to their House To House cycling challenge.

The House to House Cycle is a 225-mile ride through Britain's beautiful, changing countryside, all the way from Honeypot's Respite House in Hampshire to its Respite House in mid-Wales.

The event takes place from 1st to 4th August 2024.

Entry includes hotel accommodation, food, a guide and experts on hand all the way. You will also be joined by champion athlete, Julian Goater and President of London Zoo Sir Jim Smith.

The Route

The ride will start at the New Forest Hampshire Respite House (SO45 1XH) and finish at their Newtown Respite House in Mid-Wales (SY16 4AH). The journey will be spread over four days, with two full days of riding and two half days of riding.

Riders will make overnight stops near Salisbury, Gloucester and Ludlow. You will also get to see, at the start of the ride, how the charity's young carers' Honeypot House works to spur you on with the physical challenge.

The cause

More than testing your cycle skills you can combine your cycling with helping some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK. Some of the young carers Honeypot supports care for over 50 hours a week for a disabled or unwell parent or sibling.

You can help Honeypot to continue to provide Residential Respite Breaks at Houses specifically designed for children, along with Educational Booster Programmes to help them excel in Education.

Honeypot also offer grants for essential life items and Memory Making Days to theme parks or even a first trip to the Seaside. It's all about helping children, who take on responsibilities well beyond their years, allowing them to have a break, make happy memories and build a brighter future.

How to enter

Entry to the challenge costs £695, with a fundraising target of £1905 per entrant.
