20,000 riders took part in the RideLondon-Surrey 100 in 2015, the third edition of what has quickly become one of Europe's biggest sportives. Entry is via public ballot which opens in August and will be closed once they receive 80,000 entries. Charity places are also available for riders who commit to raise money for certain designated charities.

It is expected that roughly 14,000 of the 20,000 places that are available will be delivered by the public ballot.

Billed as the cycling equivalent of the London Marathon, it looks likely that it will become harder and harder each year to secure a place in the RideLondon 100.
