The Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia is a 130km sportive run on closed roads in the Scottish Higlands. Starting in Pitlochry, Perthshire the Etape follows a 130km route with approximately 1200m of climbing.

Shortly after setting off from a buzzing Pitlochry you will pass Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch, both of which will have you marvelling at the sheer beauty of the region.

This breathtaking start to the route not only sets the scene aesthetically, but also helps prepare your legs for the steep King of the Mountains (KOM) climb up Schiehallion.

You will be pleased to hear that your hard work up this KOM climb will be rewarded with panoramic views across the awe inspiring Scottish Highlands, whilst providing you with a chance to look back at what you have just conquered.

With the steepest hill now behind you, the remainder of the route makes for relatively easy riding. You will even be rewarded with a downhill section which goes on for over 8km!

As you leave the fourth and final feed station of the route you will be cheered up the final climb by the inspirational Marie Curie Cancer Care supporters, before riding a further 6km through forest lined roads which lead you to the jubilant finish line in the heart of Pitlochry.

Participants requiring accommodation are advised to book early as places in local hotels and B&Bs fill up quickly!
