The Dastardly Mudgley

Come and take on the Dastardly Mudgley! How many laps do you think you can complete in the time limit? This isn't your usual sportive ride...

Inspired by the Big Dog Backyard Ultra in the USA, The Dastardly Mudgley returns for a second edition of what is - so far as we know - a unique format in the UK. 

We have devised a 23km loop on the Somerset levels, starting and finishing in the legendary Sweets Tea Rooms. Despite being on the 'levels' you'll have to take in the sting of Snake Lane to the village of Mudgley. On the first lap this may feel like a speed-bump, but by lap eight you will be pushing yourself for sure!

At exactly 8am, we will depart on our first lap. At exactly 9am we will depart on our second lap. At exactly 10am we will depart on our third lap. This continues either until the tenth and final lap departs at 5pm, or no-one is back in time to depart on the next scheduled lap. 

Come and challenge yourself to complete all ten laps, or maybe try and better your previous highest daily mileage by riding seven or eight; it's up to you! All the way through the event there will be Adventure Cafe cycle leaders on hand, support vehicles nearby, and of course the delights (and cosy rooms) of Sweets Tea Rooms at the start/finish of each lap.
