Pippa's ride will still take place on 12 April, however because of the COVID-19 crisis it will now be a virtual ride online.

The original course has been recreated by RGT cycling, allowing Pippa to complete the ride on a stationary trainer from her garden.

Anyone who'd like to join the ride can do so by using the RGT app. Find out more on how to ride, contribute to the fundraising and offer support at the links below:

On the 14th of April 2017 Pippa Kent's life was saved by a double lung transplant, thanks to a donor.

In memory of him, and in an effort to raise money for the two hospitals who kept Pippa alive both before and after her transplant, she will mark the third anniversary of her operation by cycling from the Papworth hospital in Cambridge to The Royal Brompton in London.

The ride will take place on Sunday 12th of April 2020.

Pippa says:

The distance is around 70 miles / 100 km, which will be a huge challenge both physically and mentally but I hope will raise funds for these charities which are incredibly close to my heart, as well as highlighting the huge impact organ donation can have and the importance of people registering their wishes.

"Please donate if you are able and take 5 minutes to register your wishes (www.organdonation.nhs.uk) and talk them through with your loved ones.

Thank you x

If you’re interested in joining in on the ride please follow Pippa at @nowwhatcanieat where more information will follow, or check her website for updates

Thanks to Townsends Light Blue Cycle Centre who have generously loaned Pippa a bike to train on and for the ride.
