Now in its 6th year, Evesham CycleFest gets better every year, but our aim remains the same – getting more bums on bikes!
This year we have a new HQ at Hampton Ferry, Boat Lane, Evesham WR11 4BP, and route options to suit all riders which showcase the best cycling the Vale of Evesham has to offer.
Our 3 sportive events for this year are:
All the routes take in places that the CycleFest committee love to ride themselves – from the magnificent Salters Lane, chocolate box Snowshill village, the iconic Saintbury Hill, Georgian Pershore, the Capability Brown landscape around Croome, to the ever popular route around Bredon Hill and back into Evesham.
The routes will be signposted, with fully stocked feed stations, chip timing, mobile mechanical and medical support and returning for a medal and well earned cake at the finish! If you’ve never entered a sportive before, this is a perfect event to try! There’s no pressure to achieve a certain time, just follow the signs and stop at any feed station for free refreshments en route.
We welcome under 16s (with an adult) and those using adaptive bikes/trikes/handcycles. Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all under 18s must have signed parental consent.
Starting and finishing at Hampton Ferry, Boat Lane, Evesham WR11 4BP. Registration from 7am, departing 8am.
Our 18 mile scenic route is designed for families, beginners, or any cyclist who is a bit rusty and hasn’t ventured onto the roads. Our group-led rides leave from Hampton Ferry at 10am or if you prefer to complete the fully signposted route independently, you may leave between 10am and 12pm.
Why not make it a family affair and cycle out with your children or grandchildren? Stop half way and have an ice cream in Broadway, enjoy the views and take it as easy as you like. Come back to a round of applause and a medal!
Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all under 18’s must have signed parental consent.
The very smallest cyclists (stabilisers welcome, but no balance bikes please) can join in the fun at Hampton Ferry with an off road ride along the River Avon returning through the finish race arch to receive a medal.
This event will have a ride leader, but each child must also be accompanied by an adult (max 4 children per adult).
Registration and entry on the day opens at 12.00pm with rides leaving Hampton Ferry at 12.30 pm, 1 pm and 1.30 pm. Prices are £2 for each rider.
