Is that the sun finally peeping through the rainclouds? Must be time to sign up for a sportive!

Cyclists in the south of England are spoiled for choice, and SportiveUK have two great rides coming up in the next few weeks.

First up is the Suffolk 100 on 13 June in Kesgrave. Offering a choice of 100, 64 or 45 miles of ancient forest, countryside lanes and coastal roads, it's a picturesque day out on the bike for cyclists of all levels of experience.

On 4th July the Redbourn Road Rider returns with 85, 50 or 25 miles through the spectacular Chilterns.

Both sportives are laid on by Jeremy and Luke at SportiveUK. Their well-established rides see cyclists return year after year for great routes and full support including feed stations, chip timing, mechanical and medical backup, finishers medals and photographs.

"Suffolk is about as far as we go to organise an event, we rely heavily on support from the locals and our hearts are always warmed by the reception we get," say Jeremy and Luke.

"Redbourn and the Chilterns are a little closer to our usual territory, but the wildlife and terrain are very different; it's amazing what heading west away from Herts and Essex can do."

After a tough year for event organisers amid the pandemic, Jeremy and Luke are delighted to be back running sportives again:

"We'd like to thank everyone for their patience and support in the past year. Now things are finally opening up we are really looking forward to hosting a full calendar of events again."
