With all eyes on Yorkshire in the lead up to the 2019 Road World Championships, Struggle Events are gearing up for their biggest year yet. Entries for the Yorkshire organisers' flagship Struggle Dales sportive open today at noon for pre-registered riders, with 4,000 cyclists already on standby for only 1,000 places.

Now in its fourth edition, Struggle Dales comprises a challenging 108-mile (174km) route which starts and finishes in Harrogate on Sunday 26th May 2019.

It includes over 9,430ft (2,870m) of climbing and tackles iconic cycling climbs such as Greenhow Hill and Park Rash. Alongside its sister event Struggle Moors, the sportive has gained cult status with a beautiful but brutal route that attracts aspirational cyclists from across the UK and Europe.

Managing Director of Struggle Events Matt Mannakee said: "There is already a huge buzz about the World Championships next year and we have seen an increase in people wanting to ride the Struggle for a taste of what the Yorkshire Dales has to offer."

Ride the 2019 World Championships course

With Struggle Events based in Harrogate, the team are extremely excited as the town readies itself to be the central hub for the UCI Road World Championships in 2019.

Eight days of professional racing will attract the best riders in the world, while thousands of enthusiastic cycling fans will be vying for a place on the roadside to watch the pros battle it out for the coveted Rainbow Jersey.

Struggle Events has already launched bespoke guided rides and corporate days, offering cyclists from the UK and abroad the chance to test their legs against the route the professionals will tackle in September 2019.
