This year's cyclocross races at the Cycle Show have been opened up to riders of all abilities with new races for youths, juniors and veterans as well as men and women elite riders. The racing has been moved to Saturday 26 September to allow more riders to take part, and there will be £2000 prize money up for grabs.

The winners of last year's races were current national champion Ian Field of Hargroves Cycles - Ridley RT in the men's race and Annabel Simpson of Hope Factory who won the women's race.

This 2015 course has been extended to 2km with the racing starting and finishing inside the show. This year the riders will have to navigate a stepped platform and ramp giving visitors the chance to see the riders' bike handling skills up close. Once the riders exit the halls they race through a technical section in the NEC woodlands with plenty of slippery roots and tricky switchbacks before heading into a new lakeside shingle section.

Entry to the cyclo-cross event is now open via British Cycling and the Cycle Show website. All racers will receive a free ticket to the show.

For spectators and visitors, tickets to the Cycle Show are available at www.cycleshow.co.uk/book. The show takes place at NEC Birmingham and is a chance to see 2016 bikes and kist from cycling's biggest brands inclduing Canyon, Bianchi, Colnago, Pinarello and many more. Adult tickets cost £13.50 each, with concession tickets at £11.50, under 5s are free and 6-14 year olds costs £1.50.
