Just one week after the 2015 RideLondon-Surrey 100 sportive, the public ballot entry system for the 2016 edition of the hugely popular sportive has opened. Next year's RideLondon will take place on 31 July 2016. UK residents can enter the ballot here, while overseas residents can enter a separate ballot.

RideLondon 2016 will be the fourth edition of what has become one of Europe's largest mass participation cycling events. The entry fee for the 2016 sportive will remain unchanged at £58.

The ballot will close when 100,000 applications have been received. This sportive is always over-subscribed, so don't leave it too late to enter for your chance to cycle through the 100-mile route on closed roads.

The RideLondon 100 will once again be followed by the Classic pro race along the same circuit. This year's race was won by Jean-Pierre Drucker (BMC), while the women;s Grand Prix was won by Barbara Guarischi.
