Eurobike 2016

Eurobike is the largest cycling trade show in the world. It is hard to describe the scale of the show but anyone coming for the first time is blown away by the number of exhibitors, the huge variety of products on offer and the time it takes to walk from one end to the other (at least 40 minutes if you're not running into people you know...up to four hours if you are!). Around 50,000 people attend every year.

It is held in the Messe (exhibition halls) about 4km outside the centre of Friedrichshafen, the home of the famous Zepellin airships. In 2015 there were 12 vast halls of exhibitors with roughly 1,380 companies showing their wares. Everyone from the big name cycle manufacturers such as Giant, Pinarello, Colnago and Raleigh have huge stands, alongside niche manufacturers, a huge array of e-bikes, specialist clothing manufacturers and so on. Basically, the entire world of cycling-related suppliers is at Eurobike.
