Bespoked is celebration of handmade bicycles and those who make them.

Bespoked is a UK based public event promoting the international talents of independent makers and designers of the bicycle world.

This is the place for the public, industry and press to meet independent makers and designers of everything bicycle.

Bespoked is primarily a celebration of handmade bicycles and those who make them. If you are involved in the making of custom handmade bicycles then Bespoked is for you. Alongside the bicycles, makers of fine components, apparel and accessories are also welcome to show at Bespoked. Visitors, exhibitors and press from around the world have attended Bespoked to be part of Europe’s premier handmade bicycle show.

A Brief History

Bespoked is the brainchild of Phil Taylor, Stroud-based frame builder and passionate cyclist. When Phil set out to make his own bike in 2009, he started thinking about why there wasn’t something along the lines of NAHBS (The North American Handmade Bike Show) where UK frame builders could promote their work to the public, as well as swapping ideas and building a community. He realised the need for an event, in the UK, to promote the international art of the handmade bicycle.

Phil and wife Tessa organised the country’s first bespoke bicycle show at the Bristol Paintworks in June 2011, with 40 exhibitors. In April 2014 it took place at the Olympic Velodrome in London, with over 120 exhibitors from as far afield as the USA, Australia and Taiwan. True to its roots, the backbone of the show is still frame builders producing one off custom frames, although Bespoked is now open to all independent makers and designers whose craft is the bicycle. 2015 see's the show returning to Bristol in two remarkable venues, Brunel's Old Station and The Arnolfini Gallery.

The essence of Bespoked is passion! Those exhibiting at the show are passionate about what they make and design - their product does not exist without them. At Bespoked you can meet and talk to the people that have - or will make the bicycle of your dreams.
