The Velopace Spring Classic, starting in the grounds of Observatory Science Centre at Herstmonceux, rolls out through 64 miles of undulating country lanes with very little traffic. It will challenge you to take on some of the finest climbs that East Sussex has to offer, including Brickyard Lane at Brightling, Batemans Lane, Tidebrook Hill, Black Hill in the Ashdown Forest, Oldlands Hill out of Fairwarp and Sharlands Lane into Waldron. (The route between the top of Sharlands Lane and Horam follows the same route taken at the 2014 Tour of Britain).

Our friends at the Mark Cross Inn are providing the feed station at the 34 mile mark and we will have a water point with enough to keep you going at the top of Black Hill, in the Ashdown Forest.

All finishers will receive the Spring Classic finisher’s medal and times will be published on the Velopace website after the event. Also a bespoke beer at the finish courtesy of 360 deg Brewery (over 18s only).

See you at Herstmonceux on March 29 2015.
