The Tour of the Potteries sportive sponsored by international automotive and bicycle lubrication manufacturer Fuchs Silkolene, is a multi distance event taking in the best of the Peak District from Stoke on Trent in aid of the local charity the Donna Louise Trust.

Based at the company’s headquarters in Hanley, there will be two routes of varying distances 143kms, & 44kms out towards and into the Peak District taking in lots of famous landmarks and climbs to cater for all abilities of cyclist from elite to new sportive riders wanting a challenge.

The long route heads out towards Leek and up through Thorncliffe and towards Flash where the feed will enable everyone to top up there energy levels.

The route then goes over the Roches and onto Gun hill before turning south and meeting up with the short ride back to Fuchs HQ at Hanley

The short ride turns at Cheddleton and returns via Longsdon and re-joins the long route at Lask Edge

  • Long route – 104km (64 miles)
  • Short route – 44km (27 miles)

There will also be a free family ride on a virtually traffic free route close to the town named the Knotty after the old railway system of the Potteries, with 2 routes to help novices 
All routes offer something for all abilities and a challenge to raise money for the charity.
Join some of the UK’s top motorsport stars riding the event as well as their back up teams who will be bringing their race vehicles and support trucks to show to the public at the Hanley Factory.
