Welcome to the Tour of Ayrshire supported by Scottish Cycling and the Braveheart Cycling Fund. The Tour of Ayrshire takes place on fully closed roads in and around Kilmarnock on 29-30 April 2017.

The Tour of Ayrshire festival comprises two cycling events and an amazing Tour of Colour run and party around Kay Park in Kilmarnock, the event’s headquarters.

Saturday plays host to a highly produced mass participation time trial over closed roads open to anybody who wants to experience what it’s like to be a pro! The Tour of Ayrshire Chrono is a qualifying event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. Finish in the top 25% of your age group and you’ll get an official invitation from the UCI to compete at the ’worlds’.

Sunday is your chance to participate in the Marmotte Écosse Gran Fondo, which is part of the pan-European Marmotte series. The event caters for everyone whether you are an elite racer, an athletic sports rider, a challenge rider, or just out to test yourself in a more leisurely way on your bike, on closed roads, around the stunning East Ayrshire countryside.

The Marmotte Écosse is a qualifying event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. Finish in the top 25% of your age group and you’ll get an official invitation from the UCI to compete at the ’worlds’.

The Gran Fondo also provides a Medio Fondo distance as well as hosting a specific start for Classic bikes, single speed / fixies riders, hand cycles, folding bikes, tandems and trikes.
