Sunday 9th April 2017 sees the third edition of The Velopace Spring Classic - now renamed the Sean Yates Spring Classic in honour of former pro and British cycling legend Sean Yates. The sportive takes place on the same Sussex roads that Yates used for training - and Sean will be riding on the day!
This early season leg warmer starts at the Observatory Science Centre, Herstmonceux and rolls out into the Sussex Weald and the Ashdown Forest, through 62 miles of undulating country lanes with very little traffic, challenging you to take on some of the finest climbs that East Sussex has to offer.
One of very few sportives to offer a hot feed station with Belgian style frites & mayo and some hot soup and crusty bread to warm you up, every finisher will get a free bottle of Belgian beer and a medal.
