A new cycle sportive for 2012 from organisers Kilo To Go. Starting from Wolverhamption there's a choice routes of two routes taking cyclists around South Staffordshire and Shropshire.

There's never been a sportive challenge in the West Midlands like this before - indeed this is the first ever Motion in Mercia but we've been to these parts before with the first Cannock Chase sportive in 2007 and passing through when on John O'groats/Land's End rides and record attempts. The terrain is not especially hilly but with springtime temperatures it's a likely to be quite some challenge. We've always wanted to slow down and take a proper look at Mercia. Glad we did because it really is a super place to get on yer bike!
